Members funkymonk77
please someone with experience in this, enlighten me...right now my fretless sounds and plays beautifully, but the action is higher than my fretted basses, and i keep on hearing that most fretless basses have lower action in comparison
Members REMUS
Dude... it's all based on personal preference, there is no optimum really.
Members guitargod0dmw
Because there are no frets to get in the way, you can usually have a nice and low action on a fretless. I shaved down the nut on mine to get it super low. You can also file out the nut a little, but be careful you don;t make it too weak and break it. However, if you like it the way it is...there is no real need to change it.
