Members justinbass
I am in the middle of learning it by ear. Figuring out the break in the middle is killing me. Any suggestions?

I could a year or two ago, but I haven't even attempted it for quite a while, so I probably couldn't just pull it out right now.
Members ModmanQ6
I play it by ear and quite passably if I do say so myself... It's a fun song to play! (but then again, most of Stevie's stuff has great bass lines...)
Members PaulyWally
When I learned it, I used a combination of tab I found on the internet... and slowing the song down. The tab was not entirely correct. But it got me going in the right direction so I could figure out the rest by ear. It wasn't too easy for me. It took me a few hours (I don't pretend to have a very good ear either). But I eventually got it note-for-note. It's really just a whole 'lotta pentatonic stuff going on. Members bnyswonger
We played it back when the record came out...I've long forgotten it. It's a pretty natural major line though, with some little chromatic stuff
Members justinbass
I basically have it. The fingering for the break is getting me still. I play a 4-string, so there are some fun, awkward jumps that I need to do better/more smoothly.

Members smaynor
We have played it live many times, but then dropped it. We are actually going to add it back into the set list for our NYE gig. The line is pretty easy and fun to play. Nice horns/bass twin. I tried about 8 different fingerings on 4 and 5 strings. 5 strings are definitely easier, but I found a pretty good fingering on 4 without very large jumps. I'd tab it and post it for you... but I'm at work.
