Members Funkee1
Remember the cat I asked about a couple of weeks ago? Well whatever was wrong with her took her so fast we couldn't even get her to the vet (her appointment was going to be Thursday). Yesterday, we noticed that she stopped going upstairs, and just seemed to be laying in her favorite spots, but not moving around much. We called the vet and asked what we should do, explaining that we felt that she was dying. They suggested a battery of tests, but my GF said "If she's gonna die, I want her to die at home, where she's loved". So we petted her, and stroked her, and talked to her into the wee hours of the AM. She was a great cat. I will miss her. RIP Lucy!
Members Bogster
Sorry to hear, Mark. It's always rough when a pet passes-they're like members of the family, you know?
Members Funkee1
Especially Lucy. I hope she wasn't suffering those last hours, but I agree. The progression of the illness went pretty fast. 3 days ago, she was her usual self, despite the weight loss.....

Members Super Bass
Sorry to hear that. My brother had a cat called Polly a few years ago, she got knocked down by a cat. Very sad, her brother Henry is still alive, he was "mourning" for a few months afterwards.
