Members Rocknrumble
What pickup height do you like? I set mine 4mm from the E string and 3 mm from the G string.

Members Optimus Prime
Never measured, but my strings are high so I bet my pickups are high too.
Members fretless
just under the string so as it never touches the string when I smash it like an ape . I hate that sound of it hitting a magnet . Even good passive pickups have enough output for me so , after they are in the safe zone , I adjust from there to balance all the strings volume . I have never measured though .
Members rummy
I didn't even bother to set up the pickup height, 'cause I have a new one coming my way.
Moderators Kindness Posted January 5, 2008 Moderators Share Posted January 5, 2008 Approx. 5/64ths of an inch from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole pieces (not the top of the cover) with the string fretted at its last fret is where I start and I adjust by ear from there.
