Members SelenaBassGirl
It is hard but I am doing it and also I threw the ashtray in the garbage and airing out this room so that I don't smell it anymore. I can't believe I am doing this. I really wasn't ready to quit, I just decided TO quit.

Now that you're getting close to 48 hours, you're getting to the point where A LOT of the nicotine is already gone from your system. Sounds like you're doing well cold turkey. If you have a friend or co-worker with some of the nicotine gum, it still might be a good idea to hold on to a piece or two in your pocket just to fight off a "moment of weakness", but I don't think it's worth spending $50 on a box of 200 pieces of Nicorette. You're smart to get rid of other triggers like ashtrays, lighters, etc. and to air out rooms, cars. I even spent some big $$$ taking my clothes to the dry cleaners to get rid of the {censored}ty, smoky smell. Keep us up-to-date!
Members SelenaBassGirl
I have called my friend who used to sing at a club I hang at and she quit like during the summer. I called her for support. She gave me a lot of suggestions too. I will keep ya posted on how I do. I have my hard moments but getting better! Hugs to all!
