Members The Insomniac Posted January 6, 2008 Author Members Share Posted January 6, 2008 It was a real fun gig. I love all the horns but it does push the bass player to the back of the stage. I've always been a bit "in your face" but that's not the roll I play in this band. We play a bunch of Motown and the bass lines are pretty cool - but it's all about the singer and the horns. We were just talking about trying to find a trombone player last night. Our bar band line up is one trumpet and one sax player. The extra players for big gigs tend to be alumni and members of past bands so no real need for a rehearsal. They just show up and play their asses off.
