Members willsellout
So one of the offers for the Lull is for a Kinal P 4 string. It can be seen here:http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=386964 Looks killer, but having never played one I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience? Members RSBro
Wow, I don't like P's OR 4 strings, but even I would rock that thing! That is killer nice.
Members willsellout
Yeah it's an amazing looking bass no doubt. I do wonder about the versatility of it though. I've never had just a "P" bass. Always PJ setups. It has the P and a 2 band preamp. Dan
Members RSBro
Is that second knob a blend? If so, that'd help out a lot.
Members willsellout
Is that second knob a blend? If so, that'd help out a lot. I would imagine it's volume and then a stacked bass/treble cut/boost. Dan
Members RSBro
But what's the one in between? I see 2 single/regulars, and then one stacked.

What would a blend knob do on a one PU bass? I'm unfamiliar with the config, sorry if that's stupid:D Dan

Members RSBro
Still: Basically somewhere to rest your hands/fingers, if you wanted to play back further towards the bridge. You see them on EB/MM basses at times, if you want a different tone than right on top of that big humbucker. Sonically, makes no difference, just a comfort thing and if you don't want to rub into your pickups.

Members JacieFB
Basically a finger rest or anchor point. Dan Ah...thanks. You guys and your crazy finger-style. I'd bust my knuckles on that thing trying to swing my pick. I wonder if you'd have to remove it for say, slap? Looks like the strings might smack into it if you tried to slap it. Could be an interesting tone. Or not.

Fixed it for you.

Members RSBro
Fixed it for you. I thought I said that? I just mentioned no major sonic difference in the ramp "just sitting there". The whole purpose of it is so you can play it on different parts of the bass comfortably, AFAIK.

The ramp itself, being no the bass doesn't affect tone, but hand position does.

Members willsellout
So the control layout is Volume, bass, stacked treble and passive tone control. Dan
Members REMUS
Not my cup of tea at all, but you do have quite opposing tastes to me bass wise. I would also imagine that would be harder to shift than the lull if you didn't like it... my 2 cents

I think it's a pretty bass but I'd much rather have a regular old Fender knock off:D Dan
