Members Poltergeist
i played through GK Neo 212's and 412's and they always rocked.... very balanced, sounded good in every way....... but those aggies 212's/412's really really give me alot of GAS...
Members pickinatit
Avatar makes a Neo 212 also. Haven't heard it though, but lots of people seem to like it. Or maybe they like it more because it's inexpensive. Dunno. I have one of those (Avatar B212Neo) and get great tone. I initially bought it because it was inexpensive, but I'd be hard pressed now to justify to myself investing much money in a more "brand name" cab. But then, I'm not really much of either a tone or gear snob. I play one of three different Sunn Amp Heads thru either the B212Neo, B210Neo (also Avatar) &/or an Ampeg SVT 115E or some combination of the three. (see my sig. regarding the amps)
Members mlwarriner
Thanks for all the suggestions!I'm surprised there werent any comments on the Bag End cab.Well I'll look into all those mentioned but considering whats available in my area lots of long drives ahead.Living in the boonies has it's drawbacks. I've got a Bag End D12-C (previous model) that kicks pretty serious ass. My only complaint is the power handling rating. And maybe it's just me, but with my GK 1001RBII turned up to gigging volume (stage monitoring only, we almost always have PA support) it gets buzzy... Otherwise, it's a killer cab. For quieter gigs, or something, it'd be the dog's balls.
