i have mine with mushrooms

There are very few options, really.

With or without onions (with)

With or without 'shrooms (with)

Extra cheese. (nah)

Anything else is an abomination. Beef is best, but there some exceptions for chicken cheese steaks.

I grew up in philly. Never went to Pat's or Genos. And yeah your only choices should be what kind of cheese and whether or not you want onions.

Anything beyond Whiz, Provolone, American, and it's not a real cheesesteak. I've never ordered a chessesteak around here before. What the hell is up with putting peppers or mushrooms on it and calling it a Philly Cheesesteak?

Never in the neighborhood, and they're not the best, just the most famous. I've been to Rick's, which is a second generation Pat's downtown.

Heck I've bever been to the Liberty Bell or any of that stuff either.

Anyway, Provolone Wit

Jims and Tony Lukes are good options.
