Members 82Daion
I picked up trombone in 6th grade, tuba in 7th, and bass in 10th grade. I played tuba through high school, and a little trombone as well, but I only play bass now. I was so burnt out on brass playing that it'll take me a few years before I can really get back into it, if I ever do.
Members funkrockfreedomfighter
I played sax for 4 years then played piano for a year. I lost all my friends and make new ones who played guitar. My dad had a spare bass around the house and I picked it up then took off with it. Members Gruntollio Bass
Bass was my first "real" instrument at age 11 (after your obligatory triangle, recorder, glockenspeil, etc...). I learned drums in High school and play a bit of guitard now and then by myself or jamming with my bands guitard, but in all bands settings Bass is it for me. Members Hunter6
Nope. Guitar>bass>keys>trombone>drums and I'm saving money for a bari sax now. I think after I get a bari that'll be the last of my instruments for a while. Bass is my main instrument now, with trombone a close second, though. Members el_duderino676
I started trumpet when I was 11, and I played until I was 16. I started playing bass when I was 15. I was only mediocre at trumpet, and the band director turned out to be a real d-bag, so I quit and started playing bass primarily. Now I play a little guitar, but mostly bass, that is, when I have time to play anything.

Members fastlikeninja
technically violin was my first instrument, but i never played it unless i was at school. bass was my first serious instrument and i got my first one just after 6th grade. my brother got a guitar a little before that so i've been playing that off and on since then as well. still don't have my own guitar but that should change pretty soon
