Members baracuda2004
Never have I seen so much killing while singing. This is truly one of the most delightfully sadistic bloodbath's i've had the pleasure of laying my eyes upon..
Members Goofball Jones
Yeah, we just recently saw it too. I never saw the stage play, so I can't compare...but this movie was excellent!
Members James Hart
I couldn't get past the first 10 minutes... maybe I'll try again, but I most likely won't.
Members t3ch
I am going to see it for a second time tonight. I have also been listening to the soundtrack at home a lot, I'll know most of the words when I go back tonight
Members seraphim7s
{censored}ing awful. I mean ... just awful. My gf LOVES Tim Burton and musicals, and she thought it was atrocious.
Members Bogster
My mom saw this movie and liked it (surprising) and even recommended it to me. She said it was ridiculous, but in a funny way...
Members bholder
The local university put on the stage version here, in conjunction with the local playhouse, maybe 15 years ago, and I loved it - one of the few musicals I've ever actually enjoyed. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. I can see how some would hate it - it was the same with the play. Many people who typically liked musicals hated it, while many people who typically hated musicals liked it.
Members der oxenrig
I saw it twice, AND bought (aka DIDN'T ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD) the soundtrack. I love it.
Members Goofball Jones
I saw this in our "week of musicals" here. We saw "Sweeney Todd", and "Across the Universe" (which I loved), and "Once" (which was good).

Most "good" musicals (as determined by reviews) have absolutely terrible songs, in my opinion. I can't think of one hit musical from the last 25 years that had any songs in it I thought were decent. I like the Sweeney Todd music (assuming the movie doesn't change it all that drastically from the stage play). But that's just me.

Members Ender_rpm
I liked it, thought it was a good adaptation of the stage show for screen, which is a notoriously difficult thing to do.

Members lokidecat
I haven't seen the movie, but saw it twice years ago as the stage version. Don't want to ruin what I remember of it.
Members jasper383
Please rent/listen to the Angela Lansbury-Len Cariou version on DVD/CD from 20 or so years ago. Also excellent.
