Members BASSDAD
Ok This for all that helped out on the process. I had both these basses shipped to me and it was my first online music purchase. Here's the boy with his b-day gift: (I know there are Traben haters but thing is stunning and kicks ass; the neckthrus worth checking out) http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0001.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0011.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0010.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0007.jpg And here's the steal of a deal I found for myself (absolutly flawless used bass, the film was still on the pickguard!! $350!!!!) http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0015.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0016.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/BASSDAD2007/basspics/photo_0018.jpg Thanks again to all who helped out! Members bholder
I don't hate Trabens, I hate their bloody stupid ugly bridge plates. But if it makes the kid happy, you done good. Doesn't look that happy in the pics, but he appears to be "at that age".

I think he's trying to give the "tough guy rocker" look he's into metal/hardcore scene, etc. He's happy as {censored} with. He said it even records well to his 8-tracker. Members BASSDAD
Nice basses. What's the kid doing in a hotel room? Amber Alert? He's chillin' with his BASSDAD. WTF were you thinking???? I live in a different part of the country than him. I was out for his birthday to give him the bass. (He started at 12 and I promosed him a bass of his choice at 15 if he stuckw/it and had potential). Thanks for your concern for young bass players though:thu: Peace-Mir
Members BASSDAD
He looks stoked....................................right? I think he was in blissful disbelief in one and trying to be a badass in the others. Some might be "jam faces" as he was actually playing. Hey you're an Eden owner. Members bassgirl9
Good stuff, I'm glad he likes it. Better put a lock on your case, he'll be after yours too in no time.
Members Crescent Seven
My only beef with Trabens is that they're heavy, and I don't like their bridge designs, but they sound good and are built well. That one is particularly nice looking.Nice score on the Jag, also.C7

He was out for Christmas and was ogling the Jag already! (A Jag was his 3rd choice behind a used Corvette) I already gave him my 80"s Yamaha BB1100S about a year and a half ago. He's on his own now:) I checked out your band site. Interesting sound. Tired now I'll listen to the full tunes when I'm awake.

That one is particularly nice looking.Nice score on the Jag, also.C7 Check out their Neo bass. It still has a big ass bridge but it's way more subtle. It 's oval and looks like a pick guard. I don't know if it's reallly the bridge but this things rings forever. They also have a brass nut. The one in the pix came w/Grovers. The Neo is definately for the more refined look. Nice finnishes on 'em.

BASSDAD - If you're buying a Nemy for your kid, then he should definately worship you long enough until he can buy his own rig. Nemy combos are great value and a virtually indestructable. They also have great tone. They're not quite up there with the "David" series stuff, but for a kid playing punk/metal/screamo/whatever.............this will give him plenty. Hope this helps. Members Rob Martinez
NICE basses! I'm sure that Traben records just fine, and that Jag is SWEET! I want one in red, but not this year! I am OFF buying gear for 2008!

How's the Ashdown? Is it gigable or what's the next size up? It's alright, I think I got a broken one. One week it sounds great and the next week it sounds muffled and unusable. I need to return it, I was thinking about upgrading to the MAG C210T-300 which I can get for only $60 more right now.
