Members Crescent Seven
I'm going to guess that they would not. If they came out of a guitar cab, they might not have enough excursion to handle bass frequencies without distorting.C7
Members REMUS
Just got a message off the seller: Hi The speakers are 16 ohm each, You can wire down to 4 ohm. Are there any questions I can ask to determine if they would be physically up the job?
Members Rippin' Robin
The magnet is pretty huge. You can ask about Xmax - the maximum cone excursion. However, without any thiele-small parameters, it would be total guesswork to build a cab for these drivers.
Members rpsands
Just from my recollection that looks like the type of magnet used on bass speakers (some kind of Ferrite magnet) vs. the Alnico (usually much smaller) on guitars. I know Hiwatt makes some bass stuff. It's possible they would work. They also look pretty deep for a guitar speaker, but that's hard to judge with no pics of the front. Again just an impression but I think the dust cap on bass speakers tends to be a lot bigger than on guitar speakers. No idea why that is =P
