Members ebozzz
If so, what hardware are you using to capture your audio signals? Alright, I am running Ubuntu Studio (Linux) on my laptop and I plan to use it as my DAW. Can anyone recommend a piece of hardware that is Ubuntu or Linux friendly, good quality, cost effective, uses a USB connection and can be used to capture an instrument signal that will allow me to record with Ardour/Hydrogen/Audacity, etc.? For the moment it will just be me an my gear (Keyboard, Basses) but I can envision a time where it would be useful to record rehearsals. Mobility is important scalability is also a concern. I just recently looked at a M-Audio MobilePre USB and a Lexicon Lambda. What has been successful to you users?
Members allan grossman
Lexicon works with Ardour - at least the Omega does. http://ardour.org/node/1449 I used to run Ubuntu Studio but quit because the default theme sucks, you can still download the splash screen and use it, and if you enable medibuntu repositories there's nothing Studio will give you that a standard Gutsy install won't - and I didn't use half the packages in Studio. I dont' record but do like all the toys
