Achillies rips off Ampeg.

Those similarities are a phenominon called 'a logo' it generally leads a company to use a typeface or FONT and sometimes a picture, in this case a helmet and script-like font and Ampegs 'A' looking thing and a script-like font...... plenty of logos similar to both... The Achillies one is neat, but the greek hero's name was spelled Achilles.... wonder if those guys ever bothered to look it up....

Actually he did, the original spelling of the name is protected in Australia from commercial use hence the altered spelling.

The thing is, I really don't need an amp at this time... I'm going to pick up a small, loud pro-level combo when I go back to London in September (Markbass/GK/SWR or something), and that Behringer is definately not small, and most certainly not pro-level!

 

I really don't know why I'm tempted. Probably because it's so cheap.
