Members richlipski
I just bought a MIM P bass deluxe (Older passive p/u). Got a good price $280 so I want to modify it a bit and am looking for suggestions. I am mainly a guitar player but got a gig playing bass for an established local band. Let me start by saying when I first tested it, the pots were causing all kinds of distortion. The shop cleaned them and the input jack and it sounds good for now. I am thinking of getting a badass 2 bridge and a new pickguard. I'm looking to spend $100-$150 on mods. Should I replace the pots?? Any suggestions??? Members Thumper
Welcome tot he Forum. CTS 250K pots are a cheap and easy mod. For the bridge, look at a Gotoh 201. It's a nice bridge, and costs @ $30 versus $60 + for a Badass.

Members grendle
bad ass bridge, used schaller tuners, 250k pots as thumper said, used quarter pound PU's or new if budget permits. other than that there's not too much else. would kinda be similair to the geddy bass i think.
