Members willsellout
Anyone actually played one of these copies made in the Ibanez factory? It could be made to play as good as anything they are producing nowadays. It probably won't sound the same, but it could easily play as good if not better. Members REMUS
I'm more interested in how a bass sounds than how it plays, since I get on with most neck and body shapes. What did you mean by "made to play"?
Members GreaserMatt
Anyone actually played one of these copies made in the Ibanez factory? They are decent (a friend had an ibanez for a while), but I'm sure a real ric feels better. Cool bass; too bad they canel these type of auctions... Made to play = new pickups, electronics, setup and so on. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Rics play very well and with a setup with some fretwork the fake could play just as good. I'm big on playability..I definitely don't get along with every bass. You could also have the PU's sent to Lindy Fralin and be made to sound a bit more Rick-ish. You won't have stereo capability but you could probably get some good tones out of it.
