Members DaveAronow
Your opinions. I've never owned a Pedulla. Mostly a p-bass or Stingray person. I did have a really sweet sounding Tobias back in the early 90's. Wondering about this bass. The looks of it caught my eye.I know Pedullas used to have a great rep. Do they still? Members guitargod0dmw
I think Rowka has a Pedulla. I've played a few and I'm not really a fan. No real reason other than I just didn't like them.
Members mlwarriner
i had a pedulla thunderbolt for a while. nicely made bass. played well. didn't like the sound, but only because i'm just not a big fan of barts. YMMV.
Members DaveAronow
I remember back in the late 80's, early nineties, some corksniffer gear snob type players used to swear by them as being one of the best production basses on the market. Course, everyone was talking about the model with the two symetrical horns(Idont know the name of that model), and I was pretty superficial in those days, so I wouldnt even look at one because I thought they were hideous looking. I still dont like the looks of that model, but something about this one really works for me, so my interest has been piqued.
Members 82Daion
My roommate last year had a Thunderbolt that was highly underwhelming, mostly because of the bland sound, which is a fault of the Barts, and because of the poor action, which was due to the fact that he lost the truss rod tool and couldn't adjust the neck. With a more versatile preamp, it would have been improved somewhat. That Rapture is an entirely different beast, though, what with the PJ setup and a better preamp. You'd have to play it first, but it looks to be a pretty nice bass overall. Pedullas are very well crafted, if nothing else.
Members Emprov
A Pedulla Raptor? Sweet basses with really fast necks. Only played them at music shops but the feel really reminds me of my Lakland, which ain't a bad thing at all.
Members Hotblack
Very nice basses, but might not be worth the pricetag.
