Members fallstar208
I'm not really looking for fuzz, maybe just an overdrive pedal. Maybe tube?Something that won't suck out the bottom end. Anyone have any experience with anything in the $100-250 range that fits the bill? Members Optimus Prime
Electro-Harmonix English Muff'n ... see if Guttermouth could mod it to work better with bass?

Members poomwah
hartke bass attack runs about 70 bucks. Has a tube emulator, I LOVE mine sweetwater has them with free shipping
Members Ender_rpm
In that price range? One of these: They're discontinued, but usually available for about $225-250 on the 'bay. I stupidly sold the one in the pic, since I had 2 at the time. IMO, buries everything else I've heard, including the vaunted Bassdrive.
Members fallstar208
EBS Multi-drive/Valve-driveEHX English Muff'nWhat sound are you going for? wish I knew, man. Something to use every now and again with hard, riff-oriented rock. Think Queens of the Stone Age. It doesn't have to be over the top, super high gain, melt the paint off the walls, etc..., but something that maintains the low end while giving me some grit. Members guitargod0dmw
An EBS Valve Drive is the best overdrive I've heard that comes in pedal form. Nice and tubey as well. It can give you some grit or a nice distortion. It's pretty versatile. It retains the low end very well. I'm almost wishing I didn't sell mine! Members fallstar208
That EBS Valvedrive looks badass, but the price is a bit steep... the English Muff'n works well for bass too? Looks like they're pushing it as a guitar pedal also, going to the electro harmonix website makes me want to get one of everything.
Members REMUS
You can use most of EHX stuff for both, FX just tend not to work so well on bass due to the low freqencies messing up the tracking (at a guess).
Members Incubitabus
T-Rex BassJuice Just a little above the range you specified, but I've tried the EBS and the Muff'n (along with MANY others), and neither can shake a stick to it. Sound samples and additional specs here.
