Members justinbass
I have yet to hear a bill evens recording that I didn't love. Beautiful piano work paired up with amazing musicians, every single time. If you don't already own "The Complete Village Vanguard Recordings, 1961" you NEED to. It is some of the greatest upright bass playing you will ever hear. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AMJEKA/ref=wl_itt_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I46JX4H7CIHOX&colid=22VA1AHDLQYHI

Members Retrovertigo
OLD SCHOOL! where you been, RV? I can't tell if you're asking where I've been or telling me I'm out of the loop on forum happenings.. At any rate, until this past month I'd been keeping busy playing out of state a lot. That should pick back up in within the next month which means internet time will go down again. How's life across the pond, Ely? Justinbass- Excellent recommendation, those are some of the best recordings in jazz or any genre. Bill Evans sure knew how to pick bassplayers, too. Check out his stuff with Eddie Gomez http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdHstJt9jNk&rel=

Yep, been playing witha Chicago based group since May. Dublin? Man, I'm jealous - always wanted to go there. Any band prospects there? Good luck and stay sane when moving! ...and I'm perpetually out of the loop here, you know this.
