Plus, if/when he ever sells it, I get first right of refusal so it'll be home someday. Just with the Dolphin and my custom Q5 being done, I had to "temp" it out for a while... Nice basses just cost too darned much these days! And further, I've been playing the Dolphin a LOT lately, and good lord is this thing sweet... I dropped it down a step to full D, and even the B tuned to A is punchy and deep w/out being muddy. Now that the "sheen" of new strings has worn off, it's a much more darkly-voiced bass than I'd thought. I really like it. I may try some Hi-Beams next time tho. Yeah I'd feel pretty fake if I didn't have at least one at all times in the stable. The fretless is darned fun too. The forumite who it's going to is gonna love it.
