Members catsandstrats
If you accidentally solder the first lug of the volume knob to the top of the pot, and cant remove it...the solder got everywhere. Does it automatically make the volume pot always down or always up? I get no sound from either pickup now, so I think it is always down....but I dont know..... Members Bluescout
It's not that hard to unsolder. You can use a solder wick, or just pry on it a bit while you heat it.
Moderators Kindness Posted February 14, 2008 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2008 It depends on the rest of the wiring. You can do it that way so the volume turns up when you turn the knob "down." In any case, soldering is reversible. That's the point. Grab some pliers, heat the solder and pull the lug off the pot casing.
