Members Thumper
http://elderly.com/new_instruments/names/harmony-vintage-reissue-h22-bass-guitar--H22GS.htm A bit steep at 9 bills, but that's what clean original models are going for. Members Jugghaid
That's a pretty bass. I'd like it even better with a tort PG, but very nice anyway.

Members Muddslide
A bit steep at 9 bills, but that's what clean original models are going for. I remember well when you could buy originals of this model for under $100.00 Hell, I remember walking into a shop in Tulsa called Strings West and they had an entire rack of different models of original Danelectros (this was way before any Dano reissues) for $60-$75. At different times back then, I owned a few '64 and '65 Fender Ps and Js that cost me under a grand. Some strats and teles too made between '66-'73. Who knew eBay would come along and the collector market would explode like it did?
Members bholder
Needs a real bridge and such for 9 cents. That would totally destroy what it is. Though I agree it seems pricey. I had a chance to win an original on ebay a couple of years back, and decided not to chase it. I forget where it was at, but it was way less than $900, I'm thinking maybe even below $500, and that was right towards the end of the auction. It's not too special, then. I'd check one out for 450, but no way in hell would I ever pay 900 for it, unless it was just like God's singing voice. Even then, I'd feel a little bad about buying it. Members Detox
Funny you should bring up Elderly and $900, as I was thinking of possibly driving out there tomorrow to screw around with this: http://elderly.com/vintage/items/130U-8359.htm
Members bholder
... unless it was just like God's singing voice. ... It apparently is for some folks, since they're paying $900 for what was originally a relatively low-end budge bass! I've never played one of those, though. But I do kind of know the feeling from a few other instruments.

I guess I'm jazzed up about the Harmony because I had one as my first bass, bought for $75 at Henry's Music in Green Bay, WI in 1977. I sold it for $750 a couple of years ago to fund an Epi Jack Casady. H-22s sound awesome and are fun to play, but many have been abused and modded over the years. The neck is a baseball bat and good luck staying in tune with those crappy guitar tuners and wooden bridge. Having said that, a reissue is moving up in the queue of Thumper's Next Purchase...
