Members been_effected
What's the difference between a Streamer LX and a standard Streamer? Anyone got a Streamer LX4? What are they like? I know the Streamer Stage II is to die for but I'm not that rich

Members willsellout
Standard streamer is passive. The LX is active with a different PU config if I remember correctly. They also have a higher resale value. I do agree that the SSII is to die for:thu: Dan

I know the Streamer Stage II is to die for but I'm not that rich The Streamer Standard is a flat-bodied. It was introduced as a budget version of the streamer, and during its short run in the market, it was the cheapest bass Warwick offered. The Streamer LX is cut with a curved back, like the Stage I and Stage II models, but is bolt-on, unlike the Stage I and Stage II. Upgraded bolt-on versions include the Streamer Jazzman and Streamer $$. The other streamer currently available is the P-Nut Signature, which is neck through, like the S I and II, but utilizes a Wenge neck. Keep in mind that maple necks appear on the Streamer $$, Stage I and Stage II, and on a handful of the LX's, including the 2008 Streamer LX LTD. Members been_effected
standard or LX? LX. RSB: Mate I wouldn't mind owning a SSI or II either myself....one of these years when I have a spare $AU5k sitting around...
Members Incubitabus
LX. Nice basses. I'd probably upgrade the electronics in it. An Aguilar preamp and a set of Barts or nice Duncans would be tasty.

Far out, just had a Fortress turn up on the used market for cheaper than the Streamer ARGH! So I have a choice...do I get the Fortress, which I have never played one before but has a similar pickup setup, or do I get the Streamer for about $100 more...both are 4 strings... Main differences: The streamer has a contoured back (like the thumb), while the fortress is flat as a pancake. The Fortress also has a longer upper horn, allowing for less neck dive in general, but it will likely be heavier than the streamer, too. I would go streamer, personally. Edit: oooh... just looked. That Fortress has an all-wenge neck. Theose necks play like butter. Looks to be in good shape for a 97, too... Buy both, swap the necks, sell the fortress.
