Members Phantasm
I've got an Ampeg B2R that the fan won't come on. I believe there's a heat sensor that triggers the fan to come on as I've tried another fan and that one didn't work either. I found a schematic of the Ampeg B2R online. I'm not a whiz at electronics but I can use a soldering iron. I am so-so at reading schematics. I guess the question is, would this be a fairly easy fix that I could do myself and could anyone assist me with locating the faulty part?

Members parsons
had the same problem with the same amp. Mine was a US made B2R. There was a bad resistor on the board. I can remember the position but its right near where the fan wires into the board. It was square and white in color. There were several that looked just like it running across the board. The closest one to the fan was the culprit in my case.
Members Phantasm
Thanks! I have a volt meter and I will see if I can probe the resistors. I also sent you a copy of the schematic, Kindness. It took me a while to find it!
