Members Benjamin
I am not doing a direct pitch for the Bart electronics in here, will do that elsewhere according to the rules The Epi Ripper is going (sadly but also with some relief) and I will be looking around for another fretted bass. Options for me really are only a classic Gibson or a Rickenbacker, simple as that. In the meantime the fretless will do duty and I will completely dust up my chops on her, lawd knows I need it! Many many many thanks to those who have helped me, your opinions have been priceless, even though you have sparked a recent bout of GAS! *looks squarely at Colin-TNF* The Bartolini setup is: Two MM pickups (MMC - Smooth neck pup, MMX - Sharper bridge pup) + NMTB 3 band EQ + wiring for series/single/parallel switching for each pup + phase switcher for bridge pup (kinda effective) + battery box + all black knurled knobs. If anyone is interested please pm me. I will place this in the appropriate section and it will appear on Ebay soon. Thanks and Cheers!

Members Benjamin
Not quite a fan of SGs. For some reason I have never considered them BIG enough, even though I know they are quite capable. Will be separating the Bartolini gear coz I just don't know if the Ripper would be worth anything to anyone. To be honest, the frets are knackered, the body is cracked as mentioned, it is dented and modified fairly heavily. I think that's part of the problem, she's lost half her wood through routing for pickups!
Members Jazz Ad
Selling electronics is a good plan, now since the Epi was your instrument for so long and barely has any value, maybe you should keep it for further projects. It's good to have a ghetto bass around.

I had one and I am sorry I dumped it; a 1974 black with ebony finger board. I rocked that baby.

I rocked that baby. they do have a certain appeal that makes them hard to part with. my 77 has been sitting unplayable for several years, but I still can't bring myself to part with it. I THINK I've got the frets where I want them... my pickups should be here wednesday and I can put it back together and give it a proper setup :] hopefully she'll be back to being playable
