Members Hawkeye
That preamp has actually been out for a few years now (2003 NAMM intro). I'm searching the old brain archives. I think it was reviewed by Bass Player or one of the other mags. There are some threads on it in TB.
Moderators ThudMaker Posted September 1, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2008 Sterile and the menu system is archaic. Chorus is good as is the phaser. Also has a huge wall wart. [/former owner]

Perhaps there's something else we can tip you off to looking at. Im looking for a single space rack unit...that will give me options on my sound.....dist., chorus, reverb, compression, wah, etc...but one thing i dont want is that unit to have amp models(for example, the Line 6 Podxt Live)....i might seem to picky...but if its out ther..i wanna kno..=]
Moderators ThudMaker Posted September 3, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 3, 2008 You're better off looking for something like an old used Digitech Valve FX. Each patch has an internal parametric EQ and the Control One footswitch is an easy find, too. It's also powered by the Valve FX, so only the midi cable is needed. (no extra power for the floor pedal. $200 for both is a fair find. Be careful that the rear input also works. There are others out there like the Lexicon MPXG2, but it's still pricey even though it's been discontinued. If you can find an old Digitech BP8, that is a preamp that has all that stuff and no amp models, IIRC.
