Members georgestrings
Or, NBD and NMD - and bye, bye Ibanez... I bought a new bass this weekend at GC's Labor Day sale - I ended up buying a Schecter Stiletto Elite-5 in honeyburst... They were marked down from $699 to $399, and I got them to give me $175 for my Ibby SR-405(paid $225 for it a year ago) - besides tossing in a set of straplocks, and Boomer Medium 5er strings... I set the intonation, adjusted the saddles, and tweaked the trussrod after installing the new strings - and played with the tone DIP switches a bit - it sounds and plays very nice... I'd say it is alot closer in tonal quality to my Spector Q5 Pro than the SR-405 ever was - maybe it'll be more of an alternative, and less of a "backup" 5er - we'll see... My other purchase came earlier in the weekend - I bought a Soundcraft F1 16.2 Spirit mixer from Daddy's for $170 - it should be here next week sometime... I plan to use it for a monitor mixer, and a backup for my fx16... I also bought another used Crown XLS-602 power amp from GC's used gear page, but that was at the beginning of the week... I'd like to say that I'll miss the SR-405, but after playing that Stiletto Elite-5 through one of my rigs for a bit, I probably won't miss it much... - georgestrings

Members kurfu
Bump to see if there are any Schecter fans here... - georgestrings I had a C-4 for a few years. Live, it was great to play, but it never impressed me when I tried to use it in the studio. I sold it when I got my Jazz bass, and have never really missed it at all.
