Have any HCBforumites had any experience with this pre-amp?My local music store owner is getting some of these in,and wants to put it with a power amp to build me a respectable"spare"amplifier top.Looking at the price of it with a good stereo power amp,I will have a lot more in it than what I really want to spend,but I may go that way and make a completely new rig. "We have the technology.We can rebuild!" My main concern is if it has the voltage to drive a QSC,or Crown proffesional amplifier?Had an ADA with a CS800 years ago,and just couldn't get the output I needed out of it.

I had the SS version.

I swapped mine for a Radial JDI, simply because I'm in and out too much at my church for the backup bassist(s) to fiddle with the settings and then swap back to mine every week, but the BBE is incredible.

 

My SS version had plenty of booty, and the compressor is very usable, and the Sonic Maximizer is a God-send in an IEM mix. I'm going to get one of their outboard pedals of the "process" to throw in my signal chain for our IEM setup. Really fattens stuff up.

 

You can get 'em used for less than $200 too, making it by far the best price to performance buy on the market. Nothing without doubling the price even touches it.

 

Buy w/out hesitation.
