Members walkerci
Fill up your bath tub with cold water and go lay down in it for 15 minutes. It will be a little unpleasant, but it might break the fever. It's worked for me a few times.

Members Optimus Prime
I had a 104-ish degree fever about a month ago. I was apparently dying. I refused to go to the hospital. I felt alright. Still sucked. Hope you get better.
Members poomwah
keep a close eye on it, if it gets much higher, go straight to the hospital. in the mean time, walker's idea about the tub is a VERY good one
Members gspointer
I had one a little higher, if it stays that way for more than 12-16 hours, I would probably see a doctor.
Members Svi
Tylenol will reduce the fever. 104 + is when you should put a call in to the doc. Or if the Tylenol doesn't reduce the fever.

Members Hopi
At 102.5 you start calling yourself "Lite FM" and broadcast Dan Fogleberg and Amy Grant songs. No, I've went north of 103 before and recovered without going to the hospital, but that was about 10 years-ago and in my early 20s. If you end up with wheezing and serious respiratory issues, I'd definitely go get checked. In my later 20s, I had a bad fever and wheezing, and ended up going in and being diagnosed with a pneumonia. Received a 2-syringe shot of antibiotics, and a horsepill prescription for the same stuff. Hope you get well, brother!

Members Roger in the sky
die... no, not yet.for reals though you should prolly see a doctor in the morning. i topped 105 a few years back with a bad virustried to crawl out of bed, got half way across the floor, collapsed, and couldnt get back up. laid on the floor of my dorm room for hours and yelled as loud as i could (it turns out that wasn't very loud in my state) hoping someone would investigate. by hour 3 i literaly thought i was dying, by hour 5 i was looking forward to it... Members Death Hands
I always run low. Usually 97F. When I get sick, though, I bounce from there to 103 usually. That {censored} feeling doesn't go away for me for a while. I may break through the fever, but it leaves me sore for a while. I don't like it, but it happens almost every time I get sick. Even a common cold. 104, I'd worry a little. Otherwise, liquids, cool bath, liquids, rest, and liquids.

Members fretless
good to hear , yeah it's highly questionable after a certain point of no return , everyone is different , but brain damage is close ( 105ish) so you never should " tough it out "

Members i_wanna_les_paul
Every time I see the thread title, I open it expecting to see something like, "102.5 FM, the hottest hits from the 80's, 90's and today!" I'm still disappointed.
