Lullabye would be great too! I've heard that everyone is wanting Invisible Monsters as well.

Lullaby would practically be like a XFiles-type episode. As much as i'd like to, I'm not sure what success that'd have in the theatre.

But I agree, invisible monsters could be well adapted.

Yeah, Lullaby was awesome too. I just let my friend borrow it and she read it in two days. It's one of those books you can read over and over again.

Has anyone read Rant? I couldn't get past the first chapter. I was pretty disappointed.

Not yet. He has another new one out too. I think it is "Snuff".

Have you read "Diary"? That would make an awesome movie.

Nope, not yet. I've read Lullaby, Survivor, Haunted, and Choke. I'll have to check out Diary.

Fugitives and Refugees is pretty funny, too. It's less of a story and more of a simple walk around Portland. It was better for me since I've been to most of the places he references in the book. (even the Psycho Safeway that they've since torn down.)

Funny stuff.

Diary is quite a bit different than his other stories. I don't think the actual idea of the book was his, but I think he wrote it for someone else.

I think Sam Rockwell is going to kick ass in this movie. I've been watching clips, and it definitely has the feel of Palahniuk's world, and kinda fits into the feeling of the "Fight Club" movie.

Diary was excellent, I would definitely second the recommendation, Svi.

The beginning of Rant was definitely difficult. The middle of Rant was difficult. It is a real example of a book that I only appreciate because I read it to the bitter end. I was pretty disappointed up until the very last page.

Palahniuk is definitely among my favorite authors. I've read Diary, Fight Club, Rant, Survivor, Lullaby, and most of the shorts on his website (Guts, Suffer the Fool, The Love Theme of Sybil and William, etc).

I liked Rant.

I think Diary was the only one that I was really all that disappointed with.

Haunted FTW, though.
