Lullaby would practically be like a XFiles-type episode. As much as i'd like to, I'm not sure what success that'd have in the theatre. But I agree, invisible monsters could be well adapted. It's one of those books you can read over and over again. Has anyone read Rant? I couldn't get past the first chapter. I was pretty disappointed. Fugitives and Refugees is pretty funny, too. It's less of a story and more of a simple walk around Portland. It was better for me since I've been to most of the places he references in the book. Diary is quite a bit different than his other stories. I don't think the actual idea of the book was his, but I think he wrote it for someone else. I think Sam Rockwell is going to kick ass in this movie. I've been watching clips, and it definitely has the feel of Palahniuk's world, and kinda fits into the feeling of the "Fight Club" movie. The beginning of Rant was definitely difficult. The middle of Rant was difficult. It is a real example of a book that I only appreciate because I read it to the bitter end. I was pretty disappointed up until the very last page. Palahniuk is definitely among my favorite authors. I've read Diary, Fight Club, Rant, Survivor, Lullaby, and most of the shorts on his website (Guts, Suffer the Fool, The Love Theme of Sybil and William, etc).
