Should I sell my SA200?

I've been wanting a DB750 for a long time now and GAS is reaching critical mass - If I did, it would be next to impossible to replace it if I missed it, as I live down under.

My LMII handles the majority of gigs I do - the SA200 spends most of it's time looking pretty, with the occasional studio outing (an application in which it absolutely excels).

I can't afford to have all three.

Anyone sold theirs and regretted it bitterly?

You could sell it and if you ever wanted to replace it you could get the Eden tube amp, which was built by the same company (Koch). I've heard from several people they are very similar. I don't believe in keeping things around just because they are rare, and that amp is going for almost 3 grand:eek:. Although in this economy you might get less for it than you would normally.

I owned a DB750 and much prefer my Thunderfunk 550. The Aggie has a real lose pillowy low end that is murder to control in most clubs. I have heard that if you re-tube it with NOS Telefunkens ( about 300$) in the Pre you'll solve that problem. But stock the EQ just doesn't have enough flexibility for me.

The SA200 is a unique head and would probably handle most gigs the 750 would if your running the right cabs. It has a really tight low end for a tube head and sounds quite different then any other despite the it being built by Koch like the Eden. I have played both, and the Eden is cool but the Sadowsky is the best sounding tube head I've ever heard with the exception of a couple of massaged SVT's. The EQ is more musical then the Eden and the pre is a better design. I would like to check out the new Mark Bass tube head, it has been drawing some early raves.

Guess I was wrong about the Eden. I've never played either, tubes aren't my thing.
