I saw Tim Finn in concert last night in Albuquerque and he put on a fantastic show! Played classic Split Enz like SIX MONTHS IN A LEAKY BOAT, DIRTY CREATURES, I SEE RED, and I HOPE I NEVER! He also did some cool Crowded House songs he co wrote with his brother Neil, like IT'S ONLY NATURAL and WEATHER WITH YOU. He played acoustic guitar and a kick drum, and some piano. He was accompanied by a guitarist and keyboard player.

But no bassplayer!!

I suppose the bass notes on the keyboard and some bass mixed into the guitar helped compensate for this, but it was a bit scary. I am glad I play guitar and sing if this can happen!:)

Great show, catch Tim Finn if he is in your area, and you like great Beatle-esque pop music.

Did Tim & Neil have a falling out or something?

I actually think a Split Enz reunion would be cool--not pathetic like a lot of reunions. For one thing, both Tim and Neil have continued to write and make music. Plus, they could expose Split Enz classics to portions of the world where they never attained the appreciation they should have had.

Be great if they collaborated together again.

The Triffids, AUSTRALIAN:mad:

Oh man...massive FAIL on my part...apologies. *shrinks from embarrassment*

The Gordons, -Heard of Bailter Space?

Oh yeah, dig Bailter Space...just figured a Gordons mention would sort of cover them as well. Kinda. A little. Maybe.

Dead C.-

Pretty underground

, White Winged Moth

, Birchville Cat Motel,-
:thu:
You like some out good there music

Thanks. Yeah, I like all kinds of things. I dig some super-popular stuff as well, but I like experimental stuff too.

Dead C. is one of my favorite bands, actually. For awhile I was in friendly email contact with Bruce Russell.

One in the same... I just thought I would mention it in case you hadn't heard them

I think Birchville Cat Motel played here last friday . I was at the downstairs bar and when I realized I was to drunk and should go home I peeked my head in the upstairs bar to see what was going on There was was a guy on stage that looked like him . But the room was spinning and the music didn't help so I left:facepalm:
