Members BottomHeavyKate
Oh nice!!!! I was also thinking "I'm only happy when it rains" or Melissa Etheridge "I'm the only one". I'm hoping to pull off all the instruments and vocals.... Yikes!

Members MrJoshua
Hm, good rock songs of the nineties (I'm guessing with either higher-range male vocals or female vocals; I've no idea what your voice is like if you'll be singing)... Smashing Pumpkins - "Geek USA" or "Today" The Pixies - they're all good, but "Gigantic" would be great with a girl singing Liz Phair - "Supernova" (a little more tame than a lot of her lyrics) Veruca Salt - "Seether" Sonic Youth had some songs where the bass player sang There are lots of choices. Just depends on where you want to go with it. And if your voice isn't in that range, or if you don't care what the original vocals sound like and will be doing your own thing with it anyway, then the list will get a lot bigger. Members BottomHeavyKate
Indigo Girls - Galileo One of my only moments of meeting famous people!!! My old drummer was opening for them at the vic in Chicago a couple years ago. We got to go hang out with them backstage. I can't remember the name of their bass player at the time but she and I sat in the corner of the dressing room - downed a couple bottles of wine and ate ane entire box of chocolate chip cookies that someone had sent to the indigo girls. Good times - she rocked!

Members Renfield
Good call. Odd fact about my career. I owe it all to Juliana Hatfield. Seriously. Her bass playing in the Blake Babies inpired me to pick up the instrument in the first place. I have bought every one of her releases to this day, as a thank you to her. I always will. My tastes have changed, I don't listen to the style much any more, but I will always support her and see her live when I can.
