OK, I'm going to *try* to chill out on the politics *a bit*...

...I'm not making any promises, but I don't want to be all that annoying about constantly bringing up politics... Maybe, instead of appearing to be spamming, I can keep it all in one or 2 threads - that way, those interested can take a look, while those whom are not won't have such a difficult time avoiding it...

I apologize to the non-Obama supporters that I may have annoyed with my political posts... To the Obama supporters, I make no such apology, as I feel they didn't have a problem with the frequency of political posts when it supported their pet causes...

Those interested in the georgestrings point of view can just tune into Limbaugh and/or Hannity every day and ignore the love they shower on McCain and simply focus on the Obama stories.

There's probably some truth to that, although I can't verify it because I honestly don't listen to Hannity, and haven't listened to Rush in quite some time... I'm not sure, but I *think* Rush has a track record of taking McCain to task, though - although maybe that has changed since McCain won the nomination...

Limbaugh talked all kinds of {censored} about Bush until the evil left started quoting him. The same is true for McCain, if you could get Limbaugh to speak frankly and honestly about him, he'd rip him to shreds and call him everything but a republican. Sadly, Rush toes the party line and will adamantly support the party, and McCain by proxy, by {censored}ting all over Obama despite the fact that he doesn't like McCain.

That's exactly how I see your posts. Neither of the nominees are worth a {censored}, but you're hell bent on trashing Obama because he is supported by fools who don't know any better. If I was a conservative republican, I'd be more pissed at McCain supporters because they are fools who should know better.

I leave the house around 7:15 am and return 4:45-5:30, and I cannot listen to any radio, get internet, etc., at work. I have watched over the past 16 years how the press has worked hard to get their candidates elected (2 for 4) and I have seen the tricks that they use to slant the actual "news." And I can witness the same on television - ALL news media are slanted - some left, some right, but we then to think that our favorite network is nonbiased.

I have read most of these threads and I have especially read the links supplied to get more information on which candidate to support. But, quite a bit of the sources are extremely biased, and quite a bit of the sources seem to be mass emails that are circulating.

Result? I cannot support either one. For every reason someone gives me PRO Obama, two more give me ANTI Obama reasons. For every PRO McCain, two ANTI McCains. Nothing wrong with conviction, but nearly all the reasons are trivial in nature.

Seriously, I might sleep in November 4th.

Anyway, I will miss the links that give real information and not conjecture. But, yeah, I am getting tired of this election. In fact, I got tired of it way back in early 2007.

I can't disagree with the 1st part of your post, because I believe it to be true... As for the 2nd part, the reason why I trash Obama is because I believe him to be a terrible choice for President, and would be harmful to our country if elected - not because "he is supported by fools who don't know any better" - although I cannot disagree with that assessment...

I've openly stated that McCain wasn't even my 3rd choice for a candidate - but will not post anything that might help Obama's chances 'til after the election is over... After the threat of an Obama Presidency has passed, it'll be time to work on getting the GOP back on the right track - any approach other than that only shoots a conservative republican in the foot, and makes no sense to me...

Yep. Palin was a horrible VP pic for the old man. Ditching crappy teachers and shutting down bad schools and providing vouchers to go to schools that actually work is a horrible idea. Wanting to drill for oil, because we have it, and using it to tide us over while alt fuels come on line is pathetic. Republicans should be pissed beyond all reason. Common sense just shouldn't make sense any more.

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with Palin. It had everything to do with McCain's historically non-conservative approach to government.

But don't let that stop you from seizing another opportunity to drop a few lines from the GOP playbook to aggrandize the VP selection.

I don't see how this relates at all to what you quoted.

Are you suggesting that McCain loves earmarks? What's his record on that, btw? For the criticism Palin has received for stipends, she's shaved $300,000 off of stipend expenditures for the AK governor. The list goes on.

I am. and have said so loudly and often.
:D

I suspect that the energy of the McCain campaign at this point will pretty much deflate any shouting from 3rd party this year to have any effect. Had he not found Palin, I would see even more people moving to Barr. Now? Not so much.
