Members slapthefunkyfour
Renfield is the only one I can think of now, but I know a bunch of you ride. I found on craigslist a bike that I'm interested in. I've never heard of this brand though. My bike is a Specialized Enduro Expert, just what this guy wants to trade for. I like his bike because of the smaller frame and the single speed. So, what do you think?
Members PaulyWally
What are you going to use it for? I certainly wouldn't take it on the trails. I don't know much about it, but it's obviously not made for mountain biking.
Members Renfield
That's a trials bike. Note the spelling, I didn't say trails. It's for dirt track, single track, double track and, well... trials. Trials is taking a bike and hopping from point A to point B, not really pedaling so much. If you want something fun to screw around on it could be it. But if you want a bike to ride around on as transportation, you will find it tiring to ride. Frame is too low for most adults, even short ones. Your knees will be up in your chin for the most part and the front shocks look a little on the long side, so will bob a lot if you leave the seat. Which now that I think about it, negates it for trials work, you want a rigid for that. It's the MTB equivalent to a BMX dirt track bike, if that helps. As for brand, never heard of it either, but that's not my world really, so I have limited experience with the good/bad brands there. EDIT: It's definitely a double track bike, think slalom skiing on bikes. It's also only $500 new, and it's made in Canada. The brand is Bombproof, I have heard of them, nothing over the top fancy, doesn't suck either.
Members slapthefunkyfour
I know what trials is, and that's why I like the smaller frame. I very rarely go off road, I mostly just ride through the city or at the park with my kids. The bike I have now is great for "real" biking, but I never get a chance to do any "real" riding. Something like that to just screw around on is what I'm looking for. I've just never heard of that brand. I'm not sure if I want to trade this guy yet. He might not be interested in my bike anyway. edit: Yes, I understand.
Members bbl
I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings and Things to make it look good. I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it. You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world. I'll give you anything, ev'rything if you want things. Members Emprov
If you're looking just for something to tool around with, I'd say that's the wrong bike. If I were you, I'd sell the Enduro and get either a hybrid or cruiser. What year's the Enduro anyway?

Hydraulic disc brakes, long travel front shock, super tough and strong. I do not want a cruiser or hybrid. I love urban riding, jumping on benches, down stairs, stuff like that. I really want to get better at trials, but my current bike is far too heavy for that. I realize that this bike isn't exactly lightweight, but the smaller frame size (about 4" or 5" smaller than mine) would make it easier to do the things I like to do. A buddy of mine has a few trials bikes that I've tooled around on, no way I'd use one as my main bike and neither would he. That's just me though, I see teenagers on urban riding bikes all of the time and they seem to do ok.

Members ZedsDead
heheh you're right! I fought thumpers for a long time but after spending a weekend on my friends YZF250, I had to get one. Once you get used to the torque breaking, it is actually easier to ride... and a lot less maintenance. I will miss the smell of premix in the morning, though

That bike is ideal for urban/trials riding/dirtjumps. .243 frames made in Vancouver, which is MTB Mecca. They're really nice and very durable. Don't see many steel frames these days. Steel works really nice for hardtails because it gives a little bit, it's not rigid like Aluminum. If you want to do trials type riding, it's a real nice frame. Members slapthefunkyfour
Well, there is one less decision to make now. The guy just emailed me. He is interested in a full-suspension bike. Mine is a hardtail. Oh well. Just gotta keep looking.

His price seemed a little high for a used bike.
