Bass Rig & Rack Thread

These days my modern rock rig consists of a Peavey T-Max, Korg DTR-2000 tuner, and XDR-95 wireless in a SKB ATA 4 slot rack case, on top of a Peavey 210TVX and a 410TVX... This rig can make even the loudest guitard curl up in the fetal position, and can easily drown out any drummer I've ever played with...

My current setup. GBE750, Korg DTR1000, Shure ULXS14 wireless. It all functions perfectly together, and the Gator rolling rack even has a retractable pull handle and wheels. Best setup I've ever used.

It's the best kept secret in rack cases. I can't believe how much less work is involved with it. Whoever thought it up sure had a good idea.

I had an SKB rack that had wheels but whatever idiots that designed it didn't make a note that 99% of the racks they sell are going to live on top of a cab.. It sat like garbage on top of my 810 and kept wanting to roll off. I just took it back and got a standard 4 space. Furman power conditioner, korg dtr-2000, svt-3 pro.

To the OP with an RBI running through the SVT-3, how do you like it?

 Roll off? There is no way that would happen. Mine lives on top and it's never, ever, ever moved even a millimeter.

I've heard that from numerous people, I don't know if I had some whack 1st run of them or what, but it did. Not by itself, but even the force of just plugging in instrument cable into my head caused either the left side to start sliding off the back of the cab because the wheels rested on the cab and were too slick(they stuck out like an 8th inch more than the feet) or slowly start rolling. I just took it back to sam ash and set it on top one of their 810s in the store and said "look.." and they promptly gave me a standard 4 space and the difference back in cash and apologized. Whooo knowss.

That's strange. Mine is also raised by the wheels, but the weight on the other side is way more than enough to keep it steady. I can even lean the cab a little and it still won't move. Interesting.

You just reminded me - I recently got an SKB 4 slot Roll-X rack case that I'm using for my bass rig, and the ATA case it replaced is being used to house two Crown power amps... I haven't used the Roll-X on a gig yet, but it's been through 2 rehearsals at gigging volume, and it hasn't moved off my cab yet...

Traynor YBA200 with Master Chief sticker

Korg Tuner

ART power conditioner

Ampeg 1x15

Avatar 2x12

Phat band logo (to cover up my empty rack spaces)

I'm thinking about selling the avatar and getting either a mesa 2 15 or 1 15. Hell maybe I'll just keep it and get another 1 15....who knows.

Oh and I'm not so sure I'd want to ship this cab to you. God knows all the problems we had with that amp...sheeesh
