Members brotherbassj
Ok, I had a deal on a 322 berg fall to pieces locally. Now, even though I have great rigs, I am having a serious need to get "a berg fix" I have NEVER heard one, but have heard fabulous things about them! Anybody want to part ways with theirs in the DC/VA/MD/NC area? I would LOVE to ceck one out! I ave tried MANY others and owned every major brand, but the BERGs are making me hot! HELP!!!:poke:
Members fealach
They are pretty gosh darn nice. Every one I've played through has seemed to me to be the best sounding cab of its configuration I've played through. Pricey though. I sold mine when I was in a bind and have considered owning some again, but I've been happy with "not quite as nice" for "much less $$$." I haven't tried the newer models, I can't afford to love them. I know this doesn't help you any.

Unlike a lot of other "big" cabs, they actually sound good at high volumes. t3ch has the 322 so he may chime in soon.

Members RSBro
They're much le$$ than Accugroove. /justification New, yes. Used, not really... I sold my Whappo Jr, mint condish WITH cover and casters for $900. I bought my NV425 for $800 w/ some broken corners and some pulling. Most NV610/215's go for the $900-ish range. Both good. I still need both. I still will have both.

Members L-1329
Unlike a lot of other "big" cabs, they actually sound good at high volumes. My old Epifani cabs were like that, they just really opened up and started singing once you put a little power their way. They had a quality of sound I've never heard in any other cabs, but I've yet to hear a Berg. I'd like to fix that situation sometime...

What's crazy is, I'm only pushing 500W, and those are true SS, non-tube, non-hybrid watts! I can just imagine what a DB750 would do with this thing... *faints*

Although I'm generally a quality over quantity type, the AG500 is done quite well with its flexability. Sure the 750's got a different sound, and for straight ahead playing, it's fantabulous, I require something that maintains more definition. Or get one of those old DB728 tube power amps and throw the AG500 in front if I just had to have 400W of tube power... hehehehe... The AG500 is very, very nice. I'm really surprised at how much juice it gives out while cranked, and you don't feel like you're reaching it's limit even when really getting down. I like it! Did I steal your cab?? You're welcome to come listen to it at my bands show in College Park Oct 17th I'd offer to let you come over to play it, but 1) I keep it at the rehearsal space, 2) we wouldn't be able to play it really, since I have 4 roommates. I'd love to try an NV215, mmm. That's the only thing I can see myself wanting over the 322 (or maybe an El Whappo Jr )

That's the only thing I can see myself wanting over the 322 (or maybe an El Whappo Jr ) I haven't tested the 322 admittedly, but now from having jammed this NV a few times live, as well as I had with the Jr., if you put a gun to my head and said "choose!" I really couldn't. I'd just want both, as the Jr. is a good bit more portable, and still sounds just as great, even at loud volumes.
