just waiting for the neck , should be another week or 2 .

 

did the Tru-oil last night and polished it out today , shielding paint , added the electronics and hardware , almost ready to rock . This geetar will get the custom "Alice " plate ;)

used a piece of skateboard type grip tape for under the trem

It doesn't look as green in your pictures, much better IMO. What neck is goin' on it?

 

I'm thinking about getting a can of that shielding paint for my jazz. The hum is still pissing me off, I couldn't shield it very well with the tape because the pickup cavities are very snug. The paint seems like an easier and cleaner approach. :idk:

paint is super easy , just don't eat it ;) yeah it darkened a bit with the tru-oil . It's going to get a Soloist pointy neck with SRV profile and ss frets ;)

i'm hooked on those freaking electrosockets - best 12 dollar investment you can make on a guitar with that type jack setup.

 

Thanks man ,yeah cool huh , this is my first and I really dig it , plenty of room inside so nothing grounds out , has the cool tele vibe , but very solid and a switchcraft screws right in , cool piece .
