Members bassgirl9
Anything that can go wrong will with live sound outdoors. I friggin hate hate hate doing sound outside. My only advice is to not overcompensate. Play your volume to mid crowd, it will travel well enough on it's own.
Members bnyswonger
If you're ordinarily a mid-scooper.....don't.
Members gspointer
wind bites, but I love playing outside. I assume you have PA support? I run DI to the board, I think it sounds great, no weird reflections, cancellations, use the amp as a monitor and let the PA do the work.
Members Mudbass
I friggin hate hate hate doing sound outside. Same here. Forget about getting any deep bass out of your rig. It won't travel very far and you'll just be wasting horsepower. "Smiley face" EQ's are definitely out. Go for low-mids and mids for maximum projection.
