it has been a year since i owned a dog. i had to give up my last mutt when i moved into my apartment, because they had a 25lb weight limit on pets. this year they changed the rules and large pets are welcome. im pondering going to the local pound to pick me up a medium sized mutt from death row.

show me you dogs:poke:

Not to be an ass, but if you had to give up your last dog because of your apartment, who's to say your next place won't allow another dog? Animals are for life, not just when one feels like getting one.

i'll take the time to find a place that is ok with dogs when i move. i moved into my current place in a hurry because i was getting booted from my last place. i didn't have sufficient time to find a pet friendly place.

Rangers in state and national parks have been reporting a sharp increase in the number of domesticated dogs found wandering their parks. Many of them have microchips, and were apparently abandoned there when their owners were forced to move due to foreclosure and couldn't find a rental that would accept pets.

That's {censored}ed up. I couldn't imagine leaving one of my dogs in the woods to die. The only sleep I'd get after that would come at the end of a barrel...

Yup, and there is a huge increase in abandoned animals in foreclosed homes that are trashed, filthy and just disgusting as well. It's sad.

Would you give up your child?

No?

How do you think that poor dog felt?

Depressed, bewildered, and betrayed.

So if you get another dog and they change the rules again, what will you do?

If you are not prepared to take care of your pet until it passes, then don't get another dog.

i doubt the rules will change, half my neighbors would have to be kicked out.

i dont feel good about what happened to my last dog. she was the runt of the litter, and took a turn for the worse. the person whom i gave her to ended up having her put down.

So what is your point???

How old are you???

You sound like my 14 yo kid.

When you have a pet you establish a relationship.

It's not like with a woman that you can cut loose and that is her problem.

Dogs depend on you.

They love you and are loyal to you whether you deserve it or not.

You can use and misuse women all day and nite, and I would blame them for being stupid.

Again, DO NOT, DO NOT get another pet unless you are prepared to take care of the pet until it passes of natural causes.

Anything else is being selfish and that will NOT score points wit da wimmens.

You are responsible to the dog until it dies.
