Members Hearafter
Next week is my 9th wedding anniversary, and I don't know what to get for my wife. We're going to see a concert, but that's more of her gift to me. I usually just let her buy something for herself, because I'm horrible at giving gifts. I'd like to surprise her with something this year, though, good or bad. Svi, BG9, BHKate, JM5... what's your perfect gift?

Members BottomHeavyKate
Ooh! Congrats! What is she in to? Is there something she's always wanted to try but never had the chance? Or something she used to do but never has the time anymore? It's awesome that you want it to be special - us wimmenz love when you gentlemen (I use that term loosely on this forum) to put some effort into a gift... Members bassgirl9
Ahh congrats! Today is actually my 13th wedding Anniversary. We celebrated it on Friday, but today is the official day. Mike got me a replica of my wedding flowers one year. It wasn't the fact that it was flowers, but the fact that he remembered even a small detail like what flowers I was carrying the day we got married that went over really well for him. One time he sent me out to the hairdresser and when I got back, the house was clean from top to bottom and dinner was on the table. That was a big win as well. I'll keep thinking and get back to you with some more ideas as well.

She's into scrapbooking, but she's got tons of that stuff, and I wouldn't even know where to begin with that. She's not a romantic, but she's still a girl, so I know she secretly wants mushy stuff. Like I said, I want to totally surprise her, so it can be something she's not "in to" per se.

Members bassgirl9
Lucky 13. Nice work! I was thinking about getting her a pedicure/facial/spa deal, but I've done that before. She'd still love it, but I'm looking for something new. As for dinner and cleaning the house, I do that a lot anyways. besides, I like my cooking better Thanks for the help. gotcha. I do all the housework, so it was a big surprise for me. Do you have kids? My buddy rented a hotel room (in the same city but at a ritzy hotel) for him and his wife once. That was pretty cool. Some things I've done....my boyfriend is a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan so I bought him the Complete Calvin and Hobbes and for his birthday this year I'm buying his first flight lesson. Here's some quick thoughts: -Dance lessons together -Since she likes scrap booking - maybe book a photo session with a pro for her and for some up to date couple pictures - pay for the mani/pedi/hair thing before so she feels gorgeous. -take her to her favorite music/concert -Write to her favorite artist/celebrity and try to get an autographed picture. -hire a college artist to do a painting of your wedding photo I'm big on the lessons/learning new things. Getting the chance to learn something new that I might love is cool. Those suggestions are kind of all over the place as I have no idea what she might dig.... good luck! That's what I'm looking for... new ideas. I'm not very creative when it comes to this stuff... in fact, I'm not really creative at all, so these are the kinds of things I'm looking for. Good stuff!
