well as most of you know I've got a fetish for the 8x10... but a 2x15 has come across my path for 450, and thoughts? Its a late 70's model. More over how would that sound with my other 8x10? I know my live rig is retardly massive, but I can do it, so i'm gonna, because damn it looks great, and my singer likes to climb and jump off the one that doesn't have my head on it.

my guess is it would really fill in the low end, but my fear is my sound will be less tight and punchy.

I think you're dead on. Although, it will all depend on your choice of basses, heads, and EQ. I've heard them sound tight and punchy. Tight, punchy, and yet still MASSIVE. Maybe not as punchy as an 810. Then again, I've heard Ampeg 810s sound a far cry from "tight".

I'm pretty much running a Grabber or a P into a sansamp RBI into a poweramp, so there wouldn't be the sponginess of tube, and either 8x10 its razor sharp... can't really hide sloppy playing on my rig!

The 15's equipped Mesa cabs and now from experience the Berg cabs are quick and snappy big time.

Yea, my Mesa 2x15 is pretty tight and also surprisingly full range.

My dream rig would be something ridiculous: my Mesa 2x15, a 4x10 and a 2x12 all powered by a 1200 Watt @ 2 Ohm power amp :thu:
