The Pile on John McCain thread

Per JacieFB's request I am starting a thread where we can list our complaints about McCain.

Here are a couple of mine. . . . .

He hasn'r run an effective campaign, because his strategy is incoherent. It appears that one of the digs on McCain and his snap decisions is true. For instance stopping the campaign to go back to Washington to get a deal done.

I don't like that he voted Yes to the bailout. He is against pork and as President has promised to name names. Well, this bill had pork. He should have voted No.

He hasn't effectively demonstrated that he warned against Freddie/Fannie, nor has he called out the Democrats for shooting finance reform down.

He stated he wouldn't campaign negatively, but in the face of everything he needs to. He shouldn't have said that to start with. Most politicians know better. Not really smart.

I'm simply disturbed by his proposal on health care reform. Something about the tax credit is bugging me. It sounds good on the surface but something tells me there's a string or two attached somewhere.

Oh and I'm jealous of his hot sugar mama wife.

Okay, I'll play along since I don't really like either candidate, but like Palin better! :poke:

McCain's maverick-image bugs me. He seems too quick to make knee jerk reactions to things and not think them through or consider counsel or look far enough down the road / proactive in his response or decisions.

Same quote can go for Obama's plan, too! :poke:

My own logical fallacy about John McCain:

In 2000, Republican voters picked George Bush to be their nominee. 7 years later, Bush's approval rating is in the crapper. Now the nominee is John McCain. What has changed in the past 7 years that would make John McCain a good choice now?

I have a lot of problems with McCain.

McCain Feingold is a good start. Complete bull{censored} from top to bottom.

His immigration reform bill was laughable at best. So is his stance on the issue period.

His views on climate change are completely naive and ill-informed or pandering to get a centrist vote IMO. I don't know which is worse.

His vote for the bailout was a complete sellout. He, and everone else in congress who voted for it, should be subjected to a recall vote tomorrow.

I admire him personally for the service he gave to this country, but politically I disagree with him on so many things it's silly. Almost as many as I disagree with Obama on. But not quite.

either way he won't get my vote either. {censored} him and the horse he rode in on.

I voted for McCain over Bush in that primary. I think he was a better choice then and now. But it's still whipped cream on {censored}.

Add some ice cream and nuts and you probably have a pretty tasty Dairy Queen treat.

He's old... and I hate old people. Especially ones that stand in the middle of the isle when shopping and refuse to move when you're trying to get by. I bet he does that.
