Members Sonic1
So, I haven't been a big wrestling fan since the 80's, but my 10 year old son has been into it for about a year or two now. Anyways, I told him that I would take him to see a live show the next time they came through Seattle. Turned out they were also coming to Portland last weekend and that it would be a pay-per-view with all three WWE show superstars. We chose the Portland show and I gotta say; AWESOME!! Definatly my new favorite white-trash sport live show next to monster trucks. I've never been to NASCAR. We were probably about 50 feet back from the mat and the fireworks and noise were damn near KISS quality. Plus the ladder match was something else. Anyone ever been to a live match? They're coming back in February and I am there!
Members y-o-y
When I was in college in North Carolina my dorm was located very near to the university's indoor arena. One of the big wrestling shows came to town at said arena and I must say, I have never before and hope to never again see a collection of white trash quite like that which paraded past my home en route to the arena. The best/worst part was the nearly nonstop Rick Flair "WOOOOOO!"'s that these people unleashed both coming and leaving the show.
Members RSBro
I went to quite a few RAW's back in the day, one SmackDown! and whatever Wrestlemania was at the Astrodome. Set the Texas indoor attendance record. If I were to ever go again, it'd be for a big PPV or something like that. I know it seems to have dropped off, but Friday Night SmackDown (on UPN, no less) they were saying gets 3-4x the amount of viewers for Friday Night Football on ESPN. Granted there's not a TON of awesome games going on, but still. I had no idea it still drew that many viewers. Every live event seems to still sell out as well. I'm sure Big Daddy Vince isn't hurtin'.

That's funny because Flair's retired now, he was NOT there, and people were still going "WOOOOOOOOOOOOH!."
Members frunobulax
used to go every month back in the day. before PPV and WM and WWE and ECW. we'd get a few beers, go in and suspend belief, yell and scream our fool heads off and have a GREAT time. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHAT'S CAUSIN' ALL THIS!! Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because it's the best thing going in wrestling today! Members groutt
I went to a few at the Tacoma Armory, but that would have been in the 60's. No smoke machines, lasers, or loud rock, but they did have metal chairs. Don Leo Johnathon, Haystack Calhoon, Bulldog Brown...
Members 1tallbassguy
My Dad used to take me and my brother to Houston Wrestling back at the old coloseum. Paul Bosch was the promoter.Saw many of the huge stars of the day....Jose Lathario, Terry Funk, Ivan Putske, Superstar Billy Graham, Andre The Giant, Wahoo McDaniel, Jimmy Snooka...I went to a WWF event back in the 80's and saw Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Savage and the rest. It was not nearly as fun when you know its a staged scripted event. I now some of the blows are fake, but some is real too. Those guys are as tough as they come. Its so stupid and dramatic now...I cant stand it. Its a soap opera for stupid guys IMO.
