Members L. Ron Hoover
My choices are really crappy. Yep, it's a real "hold yer nose" kind of election. My prediction is that they will have spent a pile of taxpayer money to get exactly what we have now: A Harper minority. On an on-topic note, are you familiar with the Waxpoets? It would make a huge difference on how I would vote for our PM.
Members chris-dax
My choices are really crappy. In addition to choosing your candidate on the ballot, you also have the choice to register for a party and participate in the primaries next time around. You also have the choice to work at the local level for your school board, city council and state reps and senators. You can help everyone to have better choices on the ballot next time by choosing to participate along the way

Correct. I was right behind my local candidate, actually, but late last night I received a pamphlet from an independent claiming that there were 420 missing votes when he was nominated as my local rep. If I was there I might have been able to blow the whistle on that one. As a former Deputy Returns officer, I find this abhorrent. It's too late this time which is why it burns my butt. Do I vote in the possible cheater and hope we can still keep him in line? Do I vote for the party that I hate? Do I vote Green party which basically a vote to say I hate all my candidates? A few local deleagtes might shuffle, but the end result will be the same as what we already have. When Harper gets re-elected he'll be waving the dual peace signs, but it'll be on the same hand. Four more years.

Hey, you could live around here. One of our local guys is involved a big scandal because in public, on the Wall of his Facebook page, he told numerous people eff off, he dropped the "C" bomb once, and a few other shocking things to see in print anywhere, let alone for a public figure participating in an election like this. Did he step down? Nope. Is he still favoured to win? Yup.

The lying, the cheating, the backstabbing. Ugh, it's all so ugly.

I find it more amusing that: a.) It only took 420 votes to sway things in the riding and b.) A west coast election is somehow decided by 420 and it didn't involve the Green party. I still have a while to mull it over. I think I'm going to look harder into this issue that the independent brought up. Maybe he's lying too. I found it amusing and somewhat unbelievable that the # was 420 and wondered if it was a Gulf Island riding Here it all came down to who was more naked and why, somewhat exhibitionist NDPer or Lady Godiva Liberal.... good-by NDP, hello fewer choices.
