Members Jim-Bass
I just got something in my letter box - a small international parcel from Malaysia. Inside is a small red purse and inside that is some jewelry (my girlfriend can have them)... of .01 gold carat There is an invoice in the parcel that says International Product Registry, 580 South Research Place, Central Islip, NY 11722 USA The invoice says 'Thank you for Order' and Payment Due: PAID. I have no idea why this has been sent ...how did they get my address? Can anyone shed light on this? Is Central Islip a real place?

I can't figure out how the scam would work in your case, but I'd just assume that they're better versed on scamming folks than any of us are Text from that link: This CASH AND merchandise offer is being made to a select group of international mail ORDER buyers 18 years of age or older. Moderators ThudMaker Posted October 15, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2008 Good thing you caught it, Jim Bass. Scammers bank on people being clueless. At least this forum has some value besides all the threads on the first page about bass gear.
