It's a wonderfully drinkable amber ale with a nice malty character and smooth toasty finish. This isn't surprising to me though as Bud has geniuses working for them. Maybe I'll give it a try (if it goes on sale). I wasn't surprised at all. Budweiser has some of the best minds in beer working for them. I didn't think it would be as good as it is, but I figured they would put out a decent product. IMO it is as good as many micro brew amber ales I've had. It's alright, but it's the same price for a 6 pack as many of my favorite micros. If I'm going to give my munny to a brewer, price being equal, I'm going to give it to Red Hook or Widmer. He also has $20 bombers of Triple IPA's and other ultra boutique beer. I don't buy any of those, but he's been gracious enough to split one with me a few times. I agree, good stuff, very reminiscent of a Sam Adams with slightly less sharp hops bite. I also really like the Shock Top Belgian style wheat beer from them.
