Members collinwho
If I'm going to pay a decent amount for a bass, this is the only way I can decide.
Members Thumper
The finish on the Highway One is a thin nitrocellulose matte finish, maple neck and alder body, and a Leo Quan BA bridge fitted as standard. The USA Vintage has a thicker nitrocellulose gloss finish, maple neck and alder or ash body depending on the finish, and the original POS bent tin bridge. I'd go with the Highway One as a better value. I own a MIA '62 Jazz I bought new in 1986, and I love it, but there is no way I'd pay for a new one. Members Rob Martinez
I have the Highway One P bass (honey blonde) and J bass (burst) and both are great basses. I have flats on mine, and can get amazing, pure tones from these basses. I love the thin finish, and they are USA made!
Moderators Kindness Posted October 21, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2008 I have a '57 P and have played a ton of HWO Ps. For the money, I'd take the HWO. I picked up my '57 RI specifically as a '57, not as a general P and I got it for the price of a new HWO. If either of those factors had not been true I wouldn't have grabbed it. Members MrJoshua
I have a Hwy1 Strat that I freaking love. I don't have one of the basses (I went with an Aerodyne instead), but the guitars can be awesome.

Members Mr.Mow
what happened to the sexy time white SG? Well.. I was having second thoughts... So I went down to the bass place to tell them I'd changed my mind.. The SG was in the rack to be set up.. I walked out with the SG.. {censored} I'm such a chick at times The SG is sexy as hell.. I'm glad I went with it.. except some DILDO has used the wrong sized screw driver on all of the pickup screws chewing up the heads and obviously used a coin on the bridge adjustment.. sigh.. But its cool!
