Members Assumer
Hey Fellow Lefties. My main bass is a G&L JB2. I purchased an additional one as a backup then after a couple of years realized I never use it. Any suggestions for pickup changes to have something different. Maybe if I get a totally different sound, I will play it more. Pref. something that fits stock. I do not want to hack the body since it is in mint condition. Members t3ch
Is there a certain type of sound you're looking to change to? We can all make recommendations out to yin yang but have no idea what you personally are looking for, or what you like to play, or a type of tone you're trying to achieve. Are you looking to stick with a standard J-sound, or do you want a more aggressive jazz? Something thumpy? Something middy? Something that does your dishes? Members dDigitalPimp
maybe a set of barts or an active set of seymour duncans. either of those two would change up the tone from the passive G&Ls in there now.
Members Assumer
In all honesty, not really sure what I am looking for. I have used the passive J sound for a long time. Maybe something a little fuller with some thump.

Members ezstep
...or maybe trade it for my SB-1. (lefty, of course) EDIT: I just read your profile. What kind of bike do you have? I have a Kawa Vulcan 900LT, after some 30 years of being only a cager, dating way back to my teenaged years, with an old two-stroke Yamaha 300cc that my brother totaled. Hey Currently been riding a Triumph Speed Triple. Two Stroke Yamaha. That brings back many many memories. I used to have a DT100 (I think that is correct) Loved that bike.
